TORONTO — United Boxing Promotions today announced Carlos Verde has joined the company in the new role of Communications Manager.
Fight fans can look forward to enhanced coverage, both in the build-up to fight night and live from ringside, on United’s social channels and website.
“We want to give the GTA’s passionate boxing fans more access to our fighters,” said Verde, 26, who has served as United’s ring announcer since 2022. “Our immediate goal is ensuring that when fight night arrives, fans will know each of the Ontario-based fighters entering the arena — their story, their triumphs, their career narrative.”
United’s enhanced coverage will begin in the lead-up to its October 21 event at the Pickering Casino Resort, with daily fight week content and live reporting from media weigh-ins.
Verde, a Toronto resident, has previously worked in sport media within the Canadian Football League and Ontario Hockey League.
