Singh Named 2023 United Fighter of the Year

Rising super welterweight star Sukhdeep ‘Chakria’ Singh has been named United Boxing Promotions’ 2023 Fighter of the Year.

Singh (Chakar, Punjab) thrashed his opposition across all four of his fights in 2023, scoring two knockout victories and winning all 29 rounds fought across every scorecard.

“Not only did Sukh win all four fights this year, he dominated,” said United President Tyler Buxton. “He made history in Brampton the night he won the IBO Asian Title, and we expect him to be in a massive fight before the end of 2024.”

Singh’s flawless 2023 campaign pushed his professional record of 17-0 (7 KO); the Punjab icon has both cemented himself as a local fan favourite in the GTA and elevated himself into the global conversation entering 2024.
