PICKERING — Undefeated Oshawa, Ontario product Evan ‘Kid Chrome’ Gillard is set for his stiffest challenge yet on the biggest stage of his career this December 2nd at the Pickering Casino Resort.
Gillard (5-0-1) will square off with gritty Mexican Sergio ‘Furioso’ Rebolledo (4-3, 1 KO) in an eight-round contest presented by Tyler Buxton’s United Boxing Promotions under the bright lights of The Arena, in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd at Ontario’s premier boxing venue.
The fight will be Durham Region fans’ first opportunity to see Gillard on home turf since 2019, when he drew Brandon Gallardo at Oshawa’s Children’s Arena.
Gillard will be looking to record a decisive victory — and knows a fight-of-the-night performance could land him more opportunities in 2024.

Gillard has fought twice post-pandemic, dominating Margarito Perez in November 2022 and cruising past PG Tondo in March…Rebolledo has a win and a loss on his record this year, and will be fighting outside his native Mexico for the first time…Dec. 2nd will be the first eight-round contest of both men’s professional boxing careers.
