TORONTO — JOSH ‘THE BOSS’ WAGNER FACES GERONIMO VAZQUEZ IN APR. 27 TITLE CLASH
United Boxing Promotions, Ontario’s premier boxing company since 2009, today announced that Josh ‘The Boss’ Wagner (17-0, 9 KO) will challenge Argentina’s Geronimo ‘El Caballero’ Vazquez (17-1, 5 KO) for the vacant IBF International Welterweight Championship on April 27 at Casino Resort Toronto.
Wagner-Vazquez will serve as the chief support on Sara Haghighat-Joo’s WBA World Title challenge against Mexico’s Maria Bautista.

Wagner proved his mettle in two step-up fights last year, winning a unanimous decision over Williams Herrera to claim his IBO Americas belt in July before finding a late stoppage in a dominating performance against Abraham Juarez…Apr. 27 will be Vazquez’s first time fighting outside Argentina, where he has scored fourth-round stoppage wins in each of his last two fights…Both men were very active in 2023, each fighting three times — Wagner banking 28 rounds to Vazquez’s 18…The two men are a combined 34-1 in the professional ranks.
